In the Bible we are told that God put the greatest creatures of His creation
(Adam and Eve) into a special garden, which He had made for them. They
were to “till and guard it”, and it was God's intention that
they were to live there forever and never die. But the serpent, the master
deceiver, “who is also the devil and Satan” designed a lie
that fooled Adam and Eve and they believed it. What was that lie? It was that God is such a loving God that even if you do not obey His word He will not penalize you. The penalty was clearly spelled out to Adam DEATH! and God followed through with what He had said. Adam and Eve died, and so have their descendants for all the past centuries. I have heard scoffers say that God would never put anyone into hell. Did not God's word come about once before in the garden? Do you think that God has changed? “I am the Lord, I change not.” (Malachi 3:6) The Bible says, “And thinkest thou this, O Man ... that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?” (Romans 2:3) God is so holy and pure He will not allow a man in His presence that sinned even the smallest sin. How, then, can any man stand before God? From Adam's one sin death came on every man. Our very nature is sinful. Let us now consider God's LOVE, and how you can be accepted into God's very presence! When you pray—if you will—your prayer will be heard directly by God, and you can spend eternity with Jesus in the presence of God. Let us see what is written in the inspired word of God— ”But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8) And again; “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) This, my friend, is the answer! You do not have to be a captive, bound with a chain, a hostage of Satan. You can be a freeman and begin to enjoy what God has always intended for His creation. No longer will you fear death—it will not be a 'leap in the dark' for you. Believe God, take Him at His word and all this and more may be yours. God has said He will accept the blood of Jesus, His own Son, as a ransom for you—Believe Him! God has said that if you believe that Jesus died for your sins He will reward you with eternal life—Believe Him! God has said that if you will believe in Jesus Christ He will give you His Holy Spirit to live in you to guide you and show you the traps that the devil lays for you—Believe Him! “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9) Bow your head this moment, my friend, and tell God you believe Him, and want to be sheltered by the blood of Jesus the Savior. Just say it in your own words and He will hear! W.S.C. That through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. (Hebrews 2:14-15) |
